Water Share Assessments
Water Share Assessments are crucial for maintaining and improving the infrastructure of our canal systems. This annual charge helps fund essential upkeep, including repairs, cleaning, and the management of water distribution. To cover the costs of maintaining these the Canal Companies bill Bluffdale City either May, October or November depending on the Canal.
The Water Share Assessment is billed separately under a new account number to provide clearer, more transparent billing. Since this assessment is only charged once a year, it is not combined with your monthly Garbage, Storm Water, Street Lights, Public Safety Fee & Water Usage fees, which helps to avoid confusion. This separate billing structure ensures that the annual charge is easy to identify and track, and have a history.
- This is for the annual once-a-year Canal Assessment Fee that is billed once a year (NOT a new charge) however due to past years of 2022 & 2023 it was billed on your regular account either in May, October or November depending on the Canal Company.
- Depending on your Subdivision it is either billed Individually or HOA.
- You can now use Xpress Bill Pay to make a payment, making it easier then previous years. You can add this to your Xpress Bill Pay wallet by adding that specific account number to it. Other options for payment are Check, Bank Bill Pay, Cash or over the phone with a Visa or Mastercard at no charge.
- If you have paid in error on your regular Water account, please e-mail utilities@bluffdale.gov to have the amount transferred to the correct account.
