    Greg Wilding

I was raised in Bountiful, Utah. I served a mission to England from 1990-1992 and upon returning home studied engineering and surveying at SLCC and the University of Utah. I worked at Wilding Engineering while pursuing licensure as a professional land surveyor.  We moved the business to Bluffdale in 2003 where my partners and I eventually purchased the company. I have spent a successful 30-year career working with city governments in helping clients to enjoy their property rights through residential and commercial land development.

In 1996 I married my wonderful wife Juneal and we moved to Bluffdale in 2003.  We have absolutely loved raising our children here these past 20 years. I consider it a blessing to live and work in this great City and have enjoyed raising pigs in 4H with my children.

I enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and mountain biking.

I believe volunteer service and community involvement are some of the most important activities in our lives. I’ve spent many years working with young men as a Scoutmaster and in other mentoring roles.  I also support wildlife conservation groups and chair multiple volunteer committees for the Division of Wildlife Resources.

I was elected to the City Council in 2024 and look forward to a successful time serving the City in this capacity.

I campaigned for, and intend to work on, these specific priorities:

  • Improve our emergency services with more funding to improve the fire department staffing capabilities.
  • Support and encourage our amazing City staff in the performance of their challenging duties.
  • Promote appropriate commercial zoning and development to increase City tax revenues.
  • Make good decisions with tax dollar spending to support the broad range of citizen’s needs.
  • Address the requirements from the State of Utah to promote affordable and higher-density housing with innovative ideas that seek to preserve Bluffdale City’s identity.
