Uniform Information
All players need to wear a Bluffdale City uniform. These are reusable from season to season. They are available to purchase online (during registration) if needed.

All player MUST wear shin guards or they will not be able to play. No exceptions.
All shoes must be closed-toed.
Soccer cleats are encouraged, however, metal cleats are prohibited.
Players may not play with anything the officials deem to be dangerous to themselves or others. This includes but it not limited to jewelry, hats, hatches, casts, illegal shoes, or illegal cleats.
Team Formation
Participants will be placed on teams based on school attended if possible.
If you would like your child to be on the same team as someone else, please make sure you request that during registration (NO REQUEST IS GUARANTEED). Players are only allowed to request up to 2 teammates AND the person you request must also request you.
Email recreation@bluffdale.gov to confirm or add player request.
Some divisions may be combined if there are not enough participants signed up in a division.
- Must be 3 before the first game. 3 - 4 year-olds.
- 9 players on a team
- 5v5 - No Goalie
- Game Time: (2) 15-minute haves, with a 5-minute halftime. Game time total: 35 minutes
- Practices: Held at the beginning of the game for 15 minutes (max). Then the game will be played and finish before the hour.
- 4 - 5 year-olds.
- 9 players on a team
- 5v5 - No Goalie
- Game Time: (2) 15-minute haves, with a 5-minute halftime. Game time total: 35 minutes

- 6 - 8 year-olds.
- 10 players on a team
- 6v6 - No Goalie
- Game Time: (2) 20-minute haves, with a 5-minute halftime. Game time total: 45 minutes
- Practices: Held at the discretion of each individual coach. Practices should be held once a week.
- 8 - 10 year-olds.
- 10 players on a team
- 7v7 - Including Goalie
- Game Time: (2) 20-minute haves, with a 5-minute halftime. Game time total: 45 minutes
- Practices: Held at the discretion of each individual coach. Practices should be held once a week.
- 10 - 12 year-olds.
- 12 players on a team
- 8v8 - Including Goalie
- Game Time: (2) 20-25-minute haves, with a 5-minute halftime. Game time total: 45 minutes
- Practices: Held at the discretion of each individual coach. Practices should be held once a week.
Volunteer Coaches Benefit
We know we can't do this without our amazing volunteer coaches. As a thank you, we are offering a Free Registration to those volunteer. In order to qualify for the full Volunteer Coaches Benefit, you must complete the following items.
- Utah State Law Requirements *Must be completed 1 week before first game*
- provide driver's license
- complete background check
- watch youth safety video
- Attend 75% of games
More information will be emailed to you as well as a Coaches Meeting will be held to communicate expectations & requirements.

Coaches Expectations
- Complete legal requirements.
- Contact team via email or text to establish communication line.
- Create an opportunity for parents to provide after game snacks.
- Allow each player to play at least 1/2 of every game.
Parent Expectations
- Volunteer as coach if possible.
- Support coach when possible. (snack rotation, practice help, game support)
- Adhere to Spectator Code of Conduct.
- Be on time.
